The building itself has a very colourful past as its been occupied by estate agents, Barclays bank, a dry cleaners, a butchers, a cafe and a solicitors. It was also a residential property which is evident once you are inside.
It took us 16 months to find the right business premises. We viewed many potential sites but this one landed in our lap when Tony went for a hair cut in the Barbers next door.
We’ve refurbished the building from offices to a beautiful light showroom with colourful displays of flooring clearly labelled for ease and convenience for the customer.
Offered as standard is a free loan of samples service with free advice and guidance to ensure the customer finds a flooring suitable for their home and budget.
We offer an ‘At Home’ service where a selection of samples can be provided from the customers original ideas to enable a ‘hassle free’ solution.
Between us we have a wealth of experience in the flooring trade having previously worked with family at another carpet shop.
We have been very well received by the local community who have been very welcoming and interested in the re-furb and have commented on the fresh look of our shop. The re-furb took 3 weeks in total with a decorating team consisting of family and friends.
We invite customers to come in and browse and very much believe in shopping locally whenever possible to support independent traders. North Bersted has a good offer of shops with 2 free hours parking so it’s easy to stop here. We also have free customer parking on our forecourt and a bus stop opposite that offers a regular service.
Our business model is that of a 'one stop' shop a customer can come in and expect a full advisory service with free measuring, estimating and fitting offered. We offer a friendly approach and we like to say 'we have the be botheredness'!
